Loud and intrusive music heard regularly by a well-known truckie is being combated by… well, music.

Our truckie mate bought a house in a quiet suburb of a large country town, expecting peace and quiet. I mean, that’s why you buy a joint in quiet suburbs isn’t it?

In his case all was well - and quiet - until some neighbours moved in behind him. They like their music – and they like it loud! It also appears they are party animals so their music is not only loud but regular as well.

So old mate who used to enjoy his time off, especially on weekends, was being bombarded from about 10am until late into the night.

Having been brought up never to dob people into the cops, he decided on a more personal response.

“I placed loud speakers in my back yard and whenever they play music I put some of my own on, which drowns theirs out,” he said.

And which song does he play on repeat? CONVOY of course. Haha. Think that’s one to Old Mate.
