It’s a Long way to the Grill, if you want to rock & roll.

I know that the Peterbilt week is done and dusted, but there’s no such thing as too many Pete’s is there?

Besides I’ve not seen a bonnet this long in, like, ever. Man, you could tap dance on that thing all night long and not fall off the edge!

The truck belongs to Jim Sielski from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in Canada. Jim has just joined the Truckin with Kermie Club.

We got to talking over messenger and Jim told me that he has a company – ‘Trailer Guy’ where he buys and resells trailers.

“For me, trucking is a family tradition. My Grandfather drove a truck, and my dad. So it was a natural industry for me to get into. Although I’m doing the trailers, I do have a couple of trucks on the road and try to get behind the wheel as much as I can.”

Jim sent in a few photos of his trucks. There’s the grey Kenworth with a 560 ISX Cummins – which is one neat truck, as you can see in the background of this photo.

But his pride and joy is the Peterbilt in the foreground.

“It’s a 1985 Pete 359 with a 3406B motor and 13 double-over transmission. The hood has been extended 18 inches. Of all the trucks I’ve done up, I’m most proud of this one.”

The truck has made it onto several calendars and featured in some magazines. No surprises there. Jim is currently working on a 1960, B61 Mack.

Here’s a few more of Jim’s pics for your enjoyment. Welcome to Truckin with Kermie, Jim.
