Disruption for truckies on the Burdekin Bridge

IMPORTANT information for truckies travelling along the Bruce Highway in North Queensland over the next four months.
The Burdekin Bridge is an important route for motorists, including truckies and will be closed for repairs in coming months. It is situated between the sister towns of Ayr and Home Hill and is located in the rich Burdekin region.
The closure dates between 7pm and 5am are as follows:
July: 6-10, 20-24
August: 3-7, 31-Sept 4
September: 14-18, 28-Oct 2
October: 12-16, 26-30
November: 6-9
The above construction schedule is subject to change.
It is important for truck drivers and all road users to be aware of the closures or face being stuck beside the highway.
