Peter (Lizard) Williams The Power and the Glory
Peter Williams loved trucks and truck driving. Honing his craft through companies such as Marsden, Powell’s, Bolch, Kerr, Ansett and Linfox; one day he saw a photo of a truck in a magazine.
That truck was an R model Mack. It had a moniker: ‘The Power and the Glory’. It was owned by an Australian Outback legend called Noel Buntine.
Peter Williams – later to be called Lizard – knew in that instant what he wanted to do for the rest of his working life. This is his story in his words…
