HINO FURTHER EXTENDS SUPERCARS SPONSORSHIP
Hino Australia’s sponsorship of the Repco Supercars Championship will enter its second decade with the announcement that the truck manufacturer has extended its partnership with the racing category for another three years from 2025.
"Supercars continues to be a sport that resonates with our customers and dealers, and we are thrilled to further increase what is already our longest-running national sponsorship," said Richard Emery, President and CEO of Hino Australia.
Hino will continue as the Official Light and Medium Duty Truck sponsor for the Repco Supercars Championship, and sponsor of the Supercars Recovery Team for Supercars-promoted events.
“Our involvement in Supercars continues to align with our business strategy of delivering cutting-edge technology in safety, efficiency and performance to our customers. This too is reflected through our involvement with the Hino Hub, Supercars Recovery Team and Team 18 respectively.
“The Hino Hub has become a fan favourite on broadcasts, and our 300 Series Hybrid Electric recovery truck highlights our commitment to sustainable innovation. We are proud to support the championship for another three years and look forward to delivering even more memorable moments for fans,” said Richard.
Shane Howard, Supercars CEO, welcomed Hino Australia’s ongoing support.
“This year we surpass a decade of fantastic partnership, and the continuation of our partnership highlights the strengths that have made this a mutually successful relationship.
“We are also excited to see Hino’s continued initiatives like the Hino Hub and the Sportsdeck, which have become staple features at Supercars events and enhance the fan experience both at home and at the track."
Earlier in the month, Hino further extended its eight-year partnership with Charlie Schwerkolt’s Team 18 squad through sponsorship of the team’s car #18 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, plus a direct partnership with its driver Anton De Pasquale for the 2025 season.
Anton DePasquale with his Team 18 #18 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and the Hino Hybrid Electric recovery vehicle.
“We are looking forward to supporting Team 18 once again, and confident in achieving strong results with Anton behind the wheel,” said Richard Emery. “Anton is considered one of the most exciting drivers in the Championship and has stood on the podium at many Australian circuits including Bathurst.”
Team 18 team owner Charlie Schwerkolt said the team is extremely proud to continue its successful partnership with Hino into its ninth year in 2025.
“There’s a lot to look forward to in 2025 with the arrival of Anton to the team, and what a way to kick it off in Sydney with driving our Supercar across the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We’re working hard to hit the ground running this weekend in Sydney and look forward to a great year on and off track with Hino.”
Hino will also continue to support Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia’s GR Cup in 2025, as it has done for the last nine years.
In 2024, Hino further extended its involvement in Supercars with sponsorship of the Hino Supercars Tour, which bought Supercars stars and alumni such as Garth Tander, Neil Crompton and David Reynolds to regional Victorian towns
“In its first year, the Hino Supercars Tour provided our regional dealers and customers with a fantastic connection to the sport, and we plan to continue to support it this year,” said Richard.
The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship will start on 21-23 February 2025 at the Sydney 500 at Sydney Motorsport Park.
